New Cross Hospital
We have recently completed a New Electrical Installation on the CL3 Lab at the New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.
The work included a New submain circuit and a TPN Split load Distribution Board which feeds all the Electrical Equipment. From the adjacent Mechanical Control Panel, we fed the rooftop AHU, Inverters which included all control cabling in environment-graded cables on new MRF cable trays. We installed Trace Heating for both of the pipe systems to stop the pipes from freezing in the colder months.
The CL3 Labs are made up of two main areas, the Lobby and the Main Lab.
The lobby marks the start point of the controlled airflow, the HVAC monitored pressure control system supplies air to the lobby then draws air through to the Lab by a combination of safety cabinet extract and HEPA filtration of exhausted laboratory air creating negative pressure.
The Laboratory has Roxtec boxes installed to seal the room from cable and pipe penetrations. Dado trunking was installed with chamfered edges and in Anti-Bacterial PVC. The Lighting was recessed LED, rated at IP65 and controlled by manual switching.
The final images look fantastic and we were proud to complete this project on time and on budget with total client satisfaction.
Well done team Universal.
